Landscape Institute Wales Branch

Branch action plan

The committee has prepared an action Plan for the Welsh Branch 2007 - 2012, which helps us to ensure efficient use of the resources we have available.  It provides focus to the support we provide to our members in Wales and reinforces the objectives of the Landscape Institute Development Plan.  The LIW Action Plan has a number of key objectives; these are:

  • maintain effective communication between LIW and members in Wales;
  • maintain / strengthen links with related professions in Wales:- RSAW, RTPI, RICS, ICE and other key organisations in Wales, for example DCfW;
  • positively respond to Welsh universities considering establishing landscape architecture courses in Wales;
  • continue to actively support the Regeneration Skills Collective Wales as a founding member;
  • attend meetings and continue financial contribution at current level;
  • ensure the LI is represented in the policy making process in Wales;
  • respond to relevant policy consultations;
  • organise CPD events relevant to members ,which focus on key, relevant topic themes; and
  • promote and support the P2C scheme in Wales.
