ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING and PRESENTATION OF ANNUAL STUDENT AWARDS

Members of the Branch attended the AGM at which the new Committee was elected. Jo Watkins presented the Branch Student Awards to Chris Hughes and Claire Walsh.

“Question Time style” Debate on “The Future of the Landscape Institute”
Following the AGM John Ingham, Chair welcomed our Guest Speakers:
Tony Edwards (LI Trustee and Advisory Council Member, and “Reform Group”)
Brodie McAllister (LI Vice President)
Alan Simson (Leeds Met Uni Tutor, LIYHB Member and “Reform Group”),
Jo Watkins (LI President Elect)
Chair: John Ingham (out-going Branch Chair)
The Members enjoyed a lively, postitive debate on the future of the Institute and the Profession. When the Chair brough the discussion to a close at 2100 it was generally agreed that the evening could have carried on well into the night.
