White Rose Awards 2008

- Launch of Landscape Architecture Award

The 2008 Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Yorkshire White Rose Awards were announced on 24 October 2008 at a ceremony hosted by Barnsley poet Ian McMillan at Leeds Town Hall.

The new Landscape Award, presented in partnership with the Landscape Institute Yorkshire & Humber branch for excellent public realm and communal space design, was won by:

This Award, sponsored by Johnsons Wellfield Quarries Ltd, Huddersfield, is given to the scheme that best demonstrates excellent landscape design principles, and has made a positive impact on the area in which it sits and on those who use the space. Schemes entered for this year's award had to have been completed between January 2005 and May 2008.
